Thermal Imaging Camera Project

Saving Money and reducing CO2 emissions in Marlow by identifying and combatting Heat Loss

Over a couple of weekends in late September 2020 a group of MEG volunteers delivered around 1,000 BHBH (Better Housing, Better Health) leaflets and MEG leaflets to areas in Marlow identified as those more likely to be in fuel poverty.

In late 2021 MEG purchased a Thermal Imaging Camera to further identify houses that may have poor insulation. Any surveys conducted will be done, of course, with the householders’ permissions, and are FREE. We intend to publicise this service through our website, social media platforms and by handing out leaflets in Marlow. People who sign up for this service will have their houses thermally photographed, so that they can see where they may be losing heat.

To have your house surveyed, please fill in the PRE VISIT QUESTIONNAIRE, and email it to MEG at, so that we can arrange a convenient day and time to discuss the next steps / complete the survey.

Once your house is surveyed, we will email a report to you, containing photographic evidence, which will identify any areas of heat loss. We will also give householders a list of organisations, which will give general information on insulation, and who can advise on heat loss solutions. A secondary document will list those organisations that may offer grants to improve insulation and/or to install sustainable energy generation equipment.
